HealthySchools HorizontalLogo FINALLaunched in the 2015-16 school year, HEAL’s Healthy Schools Challenge is a way to showcase a school’s commitment to the nutrition, physical activity, and overall wellness of its students.  Wellness champions in each school select certain criteria within each of these categories and commit to offering programs, conducting events and making certain changes within their school environment.  Each school meeting a minimum number of criteria receive the “Healthy School” status.  Schools going above and beyond in accumulating points and creative implementation win prize money to reinvest in their wellness efforts.  CHECK OUT the 2016-17 Criteria

FIRST PLACE:  Maugansville Elementary

SECOND PLACE:  Rockland Woods Elementary

THIRD PLACE:  Williamsport Elementary
